STILL WATERS

So, I don't have much to go on about today. No storm to report, waves are calm right now, which is I guess why I wanted to post. I do not want this blog to be the boring old, things are rough right now and poor pittiful me all the time. Since right now things seem pretty even keel, I thought it was worth noting, being such a rare occassion and all. The dragon that is life is sleeping soundly.

Leahness got a hair cut. A real short little bob. No more long layer upon uncontrollable layer of tangled mayham. Although it was the ultimate in little girl gorgeous hair, it was indeed a chore and a struggle every day. There were days, yes...I don't mind admitting it....that I'd just sweep it all up in a messy little bun....the I partied all night "do". It was cute, I thought, but I could tell it bothered my mom a lot and so I realized I'd better figure out a way to make her cute without AT LEAST an hour of brushing and braiding. When I was a SAHM, I had time to make her this cute little put-together walking picture of childhood bliss (and boy was it fun!), but working and pulling that off is as easy as writing the great American novel standing on one hand and playing tennis with both Williams sisters. She looks great, and you can just see that she feels great too.

Fiesta is over. We didn't do very much again this year due to the lack of mad-money (my grandma's expression) type expenses. We went to the river parade which was a blast. Leahness had so much fun. At one point, she was yelling and screaming so much that she fell over on some kids that she made into her instant best friends. I experienced a flash forward to her college days - scarey! She's what her blog name denotes: ONE WILD AND CRAZY GIRL.
