Leahness had a very small, but fun birthday party at home on Saturday. She had 2 friends over for some pin-the-tail on the donkey and some moon-walkin'. It was an easy and inexpensive little shin-dig to bring her into her 7th year. I am so thankful for her in my life. The last 7 years have been a blur. I try to cherish every day the best I can with her because if times keeps going as fast as it has, she'll get to the point where she doesn't need me anymore.
We have a doctor's appointment with the Neurologist tomorrow. I am happy to report she has not had even one seizure since we returned from Michigan....NOT ONE! Her attitude and personality have switched from moody, to sparkling. She is such a different kid now. Her heart, though always big, is even bigger now. She is polite, kind, and respectful. Sure she has a moment now and then when she gets frustrated with something, but it is always short-lived. I am not sure how this transformation took place, but I am grateful it has. I'm excited to see what the Neurologist has to say about the no seizure situation. Could it be that the medication is Finally working, or could it be that she is growing out of this? She went through an enormous growth spurt right before school started, going from a size 6 straight into a size 8 in a month! Perhaps the growth made her brain's neurons connect better. I will post something on Monday to update everyone what the doc says.
