So here we are on the 4th of July. We went to Chris' parent's house in Harlingen, thus the Deutschland t-shirt she's donning. It was a good time and we had a lot of laughs. Manny, my father-in-law did his usual thing on the grill providing us with a bounty of gorgeous food, while we danced to German music and drank some good German beer. Chris and I went to bed early due to the long drive and the tiring week, while Leahness hung out some more with her Oma and Opa watching fireworks in the distance and dancing some more.

Pixie met Remmy and instantly did not like him one bit. She is getting a taste of her own medicine when she was a puppy and Maggie didn't want anything to do with HER. But Pixie was unencumbered from it due to her people being there to pick her up! She was quite torn between staying at Opa's house or coming with us. You could feel her being torn in two, it was really hard. But we figure we can let her stay again soon. She'll miss swimming in the pool and her doggie friends!

Update with Leahness:

We went to the pediatrician 3 weeks ago. She let us know that Leahness had an ear infection. Probably from swimming in our pool we have set up in the back. So Dr. Brickman put her on an antibiotic. GET THIS....While she was on the 2 week of antibiotics, she had only 2 very mild seizures. What could this mean? I'm patiently waiting for our neurologist appointment on the 29th to discuss this with Dr. Rotenburg. I was so thrilled, telling everyone who asks about her that she is doing better. Telling them thank you for their prayers and "keep it up!". I really started to think this was on it's way out the door!!! I didn't tie the antibiotics together with having nay but 2 or 3 seizures until last week when they started again in full swing just as they were before. It is too obvious to not be of consequence.

We bought our tickets yesterday to go to Michigan in August for my cousin Andrew's wedding. Leahness is very excited. She hasn't been on a plane since she was a 1 yr old. Only problem is, I've been in Texas so long, I forgot what Michigan is like in August!
